A Powerful All-Women’s Surf Contest for a Cause
The Jetty Coquina Jam is an all-women's, team surf contest and fundraising event. Women are paired randomly after being separated into two age pools and compete in this summer event to support women, children and families affected by a Cancer diagnosis via David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation and the Jetty Rock Foundation.
JRF and DDBCF co-host Coquina jam each year to carry on the tradition of supporting the trailblazing women that inspire us to conquer any challenge that may arise.
Now in its 16th year, the Long Beach Island event has helped donate over $475,000 thanks to our
participants, beach goers, sponsors, and regional business support.

Rules & Regulations
- The Coquina Jam is open to women only
- Top wave score per surfer counts
- Surfer #1 best wave score + Surfer #2 best wave score = Team score (average of three judges)
- Waves are scored based on technical maneuvers
Registered surfers must confirm that they are confident and have advanced ability in all ocean conditions (including rip currents, 6ft+ surf, strong winds, and heavy and/or critical waves). Ocean conditions can change very rapidly, and all participants should be prepared for anything from knee high waves to overhead hurricane swells on shallow sandbars. While we look to encourage all to compete younger beginners and intermediate surfers should consider entering the Inaugural Littleneck Jam. Surfers should only register for one contest.
